Livestock has been one of the pillars of Canadians streetwear for 13 years now, and in celebration of the occasion the retailer has put together a traveling hockey mask art show entitled "The 13th." The collection was first displayed in Vancouver on Friday October 13th, naturally.
A batch of vintage hockey masks—paying tribute to the stores' Canadian heritage, of course—were distributed to a group of artists who Livestock has collaborated with or who have provided inspiration over the years. A few notable contributions come from PD of Skull Skates, who brought California skate culture to Canada in the ’70s; Tod Swank, who established Foundation Skateboards; and Don Pendleton and Evan Hecox, who pioneered the crossover between the worlds of skateboarding, art, fashion, music and sneaker culture.
"The 13th" has already visited Livestock's Vancouver and Toronto locations, with the third showing due to hit Livestock’s new Winnipeg flagship on Friday, November 10. If you're in the Winnipeg area be sure to check it out, or enjoy the recap images from the Vancouver and Toronto showcases below.
