Predicting Who Will Win Every NFL Game for Week 9

The NFL season is cruising (sort of) along. There's been some hiccups, and you never really know when a team could get shut down due to COVID-19, but we're here for week eight, and the picks are still rolling in. At this point in the season, you have a pretty good idea about who is good and who isn't, unless you look at the NFC East, where everyone is bad but it doesn't matter because someone has to win it. Tom Brady and the Bucs look very legit and Antonio Brown will finally make his debut this week. The Steelers might be the best team in football, while both teams in New York might be the worst. The Patriots have a losing record and the Miami Dolphins have a winning record. 2020 is realy weird.

Like always, these are our straight up picks and not ATS. For all our NFL bets of the week, tune into the Complex Sports Load Management podcast, where we break down every game by the spread. As for the straight-up picks, Angel continues to hold a lead in the standings, but Adam is making a late push following an impressive 11-3 record last week. Let's get to the week 9 picks.

Chopz - 72-46

Adam - 77-41

Angel - 78-40

Zion - 74-44

Chopz: Do the 49ers even have any players left? Packers.

Adam: There’s zero justification for taking the 49ers straight up in this one. Green Bay.

Zion: Packers.

Angel: Packers should have an easy time here.

Chopz: What a game. Don’t you just love the NFC East? I’ll take the Giants.

Adam: Danny Dimes will only turn the ball over two times, therefore the Giants will win.

Zion: Giants

Angel: The Giants have played hard all year and unfortunately, I think they win this week, effectively taking them out of the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes.

Chopz: I think this one will be close, but the Titans pull it out at the end.

Adam: Want to pull the trigger on the Bears, yet sanity ultimately prevails. Tennessee, but take Chicago to cover (+6).

Zion: Titans.

Angel: That Bears offense stinks and the Titans lost to the Bengals last week. Look for Tennessee to break their two-game skid.

Chopz: We have no idea if Stafford will play, so give me the Vikings.

Adam: Crazy things always happen in division games so let’s get nuts and pick the Lions despite their (potential) rona outbreak.

Zion: VIkings.

Angel: Stafford looks like he’s not going to play, so Minny gets their third win here.

Chopz: Chiefs, but the game is close.

Adam: The pick against the spread is for the Panthers (+10.5) because Teddy Bridgewater is a covering machine as a road underdog. Google it. The pick straight up is for the Chiefs because let’s not get too nuts.

Zion: Chiefs.

Angel: This won’t be a cake walk for the Chiefs as Christian McCafferey will finally be back. Give KC in a competitive one.

Chopz: The Jaguars are starting someone named Jake Luton at QB. I’ll go with Houston.

Adam: If Jake Luton rocked a mustache I would pick the Jaguars. Alas, he does not. Texans.

Zion: Texans

Angel: Texans get their second win.

Chopz: Sneaky good game. Can Lamar Jackson bounce back? I’ll take the Ravens.

Adam: Colts since—NEWSFLASH—Lamar Jackson struggles against good defenses.

Zion: Ravens.

Angel: Ravens win on the road.

Chopz: I’ll take the Bills at home.

Adam: The Mr. Unlimited-DK Metcalf combo is the best in the NFL. Seahawks on the road since Bills Mafia is still not allowed in the stadium.

Zion: Seahawks.

Angel: Give me the Bills here because Josh Allen is the truth.

Chopz: I made a vow to never pick the Falcons again, so I’m going with Denver.

Adam: Like me, you should have zero faith in the Falcons sustaining any kind of success after last week’s win in Carolina. Denver on the road.

Zion: Falcons.

Angel: Falcons get a little streak going to get them to three wins.

Chopz: Raiders win this.

Adam: Vegas, baby.

Zion: Raiders

Angel: Raiders because they’re the better team and this’ll be like a home game to them.

Chopz: Steelers by 4 TDs.

Adam: If it’s not a bloodbath the fix is in. Pittsburgh.

Zion: Steelers.

Angel: Pittsburgh remains undefeated.

Chopz: Cardinals get the win at home.

Adam: Arizona, but closer than the experts think.

Zion: Cards.

Angel: That Dolphins defense is good, but Arizona is just an overall better team. I’ll take the Cards.

Chopz: Tom Brady throws two TDs to Antonio Brown and the Bucs win.

Adam: Dear NFL broadcasting partners: Absolutely NO BODY cares about Tom Brady and Drew Brees jockeying for the all-time lead in touchdown passes. NO. BODY. Tampa ends New Orleans’ four-game winning streak in the series.

Zion: Saints.

Angel: Give me the Saints because I do not believe in the Buccaneers like the rest of these slurpers.

Chopz: Patriots in a game that nobody should watch.

Adam: I’m glad Adam Gase hasn’t been fired because he should have to suffer through this debacle of a season like every Jets fan. Cam plays like Superman against the overmatched Jets defense.

Zion: Patriots.

Angel: New England gets a much-needed win.
