The U.S. men's curling team stunned the world on Saturday when they defeated Sweden to win the gold medal at the Winter Olympics. Sitting on cloud nine, there was nothing that could possibly bring them down. Not even a medal snafu at the victory ceremony.

According to USA TODAY Sports, once the medal ceremony concluded, team member John Landsteiner looked down and discovered that the gold medals they received were for "women's curling."

During the press conference, John Shuster laughed off the mistake, saying, "It wasn’t a big deal at all, I promise." By that time, though, the error had been corrected. Team USA's magical run included a victory over Canada, who has won the gold at the last three Olympic games. Their next matchup came against the top-ranked Swedish squad. With score tied up at 5 in the 8th end and the U.S. holding the hammer—the final shot of the set—Shuster had the attempt of his life to seal the victory.

Congrats to Team USA!
