Triple H Discusses the Idea of Conor McGregor Becoming a WWE Wrestler

Triple H says Conor McGregor has "the personality, the skills, the talk" to succeed in the WWE.

Triple H was in attendance at UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday night, and he witnessed Conor McGregor easily defeat Eddie Alvarez to become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two title belts at the same time.

A day after McGregor's victory, Triple H also posted this GIF of McGregor strutting around like Vince McMahon on Twitter and tagged both men in his tweet:

After the fight, Triple H was asked by The Telegraph about the possibility of McGregor making a crossover appearance in the WWE at some point in the future. As the current VP of Talent at WWE, Triple H is one of the few people who could make it happen with one effortless swing of the nuts, provided McGregor would actually agree to do it. "He could come over, he’s got it all, man—he’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure," Triple H said. "What does he walk around at? 180 pounds? I have smaller guys now in the WWE. We have 200-pound guys who are stars. You don't need to be 300 pounds any more."

Triple also brought up the success of Floyd Mayweather's crossover appearance at WrestleMania 24. "[McGregor] could do just as well as Floyd Mayweather when he fought the Big Show," he said. "That really worked. Conor could do it, for sure."

If it were to happen, McGregor has given the WWE writers about a thousand possibilities for storylines, including, but not limited to, that time he called wrestlers "messed up pussies," that time he said he'd "slap the heads off" the WWE's entire roster, and that time he called John Cena a "big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia motherfucker."

Earlier this week, McGregor also took aim at the UFC and said he wouldn't fight for them again unless he was given a stake in the company. It should be noted that McGregor is still under contract with the UFC, meaning Dana White would likely have to sign off on any potential WWE appearance. But something tells us that if McGregor wanted it to happen, it would happen. The ball is in his court now.
