Magic Johnson isn’t the only former Lakers player to share a great Michael Jordan story within the course of the last 24 hours. On Friday, Byron Scott—who was fired by the Lakers in early May—made an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, and Patrick asked him to tell an MJ story. Scott had one ready to go for him and talked about the time MJ told him he was going to drop 50 points before a game in 1992—and then went out and did it.

Scott’s memory is correct, too. Here is a Los Angeles Times article from that night that proves MJ hung 54 on Peeler and the Lakers. It's worth noting the Lakers managed to beat MJ's Bulls, but it's still a great story.
