If the Thunder don’t make it to the NBA Finals this year, Kevin Durant is going to leave Oklahoma City and sign with a new team this summer. At least, that’s the latest rumor that’s flying around right now. There seems to be a new one that comes out every other day, so we don’t know how much stock we put into any of them. But KD was asked to respond to the most recent one today, and he said what he always seems to say in these situations—that you shouldn’t believe anything that doesn’t come directly from him.
The Oklahoman beat writer Anthony Slater provided a transcript of KD’s answer on Twitter a short time ago:
So there you have it. KD isn't going to leave OKC this summer if they miss making it to the Finals. We think. Now, what's the next crazy KD rumor going to be?
