J.R. Smith got married to his longtime girlfriend Jewel Harris in New Jersey on Monday night:
And yes, as more than a few people pointed out, J.R. did wear a shirt to his own wedding:
Late Tuesday, J.R. shared a video of him and his new wife walking through The Mall at Short Hills in N.J. on Uninterrupted—what a honeymoon!—and he thanked everyone who helped make his big day so special. He also ended the video by bragging about what a great summer it’s been for him.
"We got married yesterday," he said in the clip. "Thank you, thank you, thank you to so many people. So many friends and family. We couldn’t do it without you guys, so we appreciate you guys. All my teammates and everybody that came through, I appreciate you guys, love you all. The organization, my agents, Klutch, everybody who came through, we love y’all and appreciate y’all. Thank you so much. Two rings in one year! Summer ’16. Playing dirty."
It doesn’t appear as though J.R.’s teammate LeBron James was in attendance at the wedding, but he did congratulate the happy couple on Instagram on Tuesday night by posting their Uninterrupted clip:
