Tom Brady never officially endorsed Donald Trump for President, but he may as well have. Last year, Brady positioned one of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” hats in his locker, and he talked at length about his relationship with Trump in the days to follow. He considers Trump a “good friend” and said that he supports “all my friends in everything they do” when he was asked about him in December. And on Super Tuesday, his "good friend" had no problem picking up 49.3 percent of the vote and winning the Massachusetts primary:

But how much of a role did Brady actually play in Trump’s success in the state? Trump apparently believes the Patriots quarterback deserves a lot of credit for it. In fact, he went as far as to say that Brady was an “enormous help” when it came to clinching a victory.

“Honestly, in that part of the world, a reference like Tom Brady saying Trump’s the biggest winner, Trump is a friend of mine, that makes an incredible difference,” he told the New York Times last night. “Tom Brady is a great friend of mine. He’s a winner and he likes winners. He was very helpful to us in Massachusetts on Tuesday.”

It’s been awhile since Brady has spoken about Trump. Now that many of the primaries have gone in his favor, it’ll be interesting to hear what he has to say about him the next time he speaks about his “good friend.”
