Knicks owner James Dolan sat down with HBO's Real Sports host Bryant Gumbel recently to address his role in the 2007 sexual harassment case involving Isiah Thomas and to explain why he hired Thomas to run the WNBA's New York Liberty this year. Dolan never talks to the media, so his decision to finally break his silence eight years later in regards to the lawsuit Anucha Browne Sanders filed against him, Madison Square Garden, and Thomas is mind-boggling. What's even more insane is that Dolan still believes they should've won the case.

When asked whether he thinks Browne Saunders made the sexual harassment up, Dolan answered: "I think a bunch of it she did, yes."

The owner and blues band frontman then admitted that he should have settled out of court for a number way smaller than the $11 million he eventually had to dish out. When asked why he decided to continue fighting the allegations, he told Gumbel: "Because I actually believed in the truth. The fighter in me came out."

Gumbel also grilled Isiah Thomas about the backlash he received after his role with the Liberty was announced. The episode airs tomorrow night at 10pm ET/PT on HBO. Check out a preview in the clip above.
