Newly released bodycam footage shows that the woman who was attacked by former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt was adamant about pressing charges, though none were ever filed.

In the video uncovered by TMZ Sports, the 19-year-old can be heard asking police to check the hotel's surveillance footage to back up her claims that Hunt assaulted her and stole her phone's SIM card.

The police countered that they couldn't obtain the footage without a court order, news that visibly upsets the young woman.

After footage of the altercation leaked to the press, Kansas City released their star back. In a statement, the team claimed that Hunt lied to them about the incident when he was questioned. The tone of the statement implies that the Chiefs saw the video at the same time as the rest of the world.

"Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt. At that time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue," they wrote in a statement shared on Twitter. "As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately."
