UPDATED 3/13/19 4:00 p.m. ET: Golden State's Klay Thompson ruffled some feathers when he suggested that the team deserves more crowd participation following a frustrating loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Not only did Thompson's comments spark debates around the league, but they also came at a bad time since the Warriors are going to need the fans' support during their upcoming playoff run. As a result, Thompson has decided to recant his demands by sending out a tweet that reaffirms his love for DubNation.
"I love DubNation. We have the greatest fan base in sports," Thompson tweeted. "We feed greatly off their energy in the Oracle and I meant no disrespect."

Sunday's loss to the conference-worst Phoenix Suns has the Warriors searching for a scapegoat, leading Klay Thompson to take the pressure off the players by putting some of the blame on the Golden State fans.
"So it's ugly but I expect our crowd to be little more into it, too," Thompson said after the game. "Like, I know it's not the playoffs, but it is our last go-around at Oracle. Least you can stand up or something when we make a good play, especially in the beginning. We need that energy, especially this time of the year. It's hard to conjure up energy every single night 'cause you're looking forward to the playoffs and that run."
Thompson led the Warriors with 28 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, in defeat. But, the mere fact that a stacked Golden State team was in a dogfight with the lowly Suns seemed to be enough to disengage the Warriors faithful. Thompson explained that he wants consistent energy from fans no matter who they're playing against.
"So we expect our fans to kind of bring that from the jump," he said. "It's like us, though. You can't bring it every night, but still it helps. It doesn't matter if we're playing the Suns or the Bucks, whoever it is. We need that energy from them because we feed off that."
The Warriors haven't been nearly as dominant at home this year as they have in the past, going a lackluster 24-10 at Oracle Arena. Of those 10 losses, five have been by 20-points or more. Despite their struggles, the Warriors are still heavy favorites to win their third straight title, even with the antics of Draymond Green.
