For last year's NBA Awards, the league's first-ever awards show, it featured a performance from Nicki Minaj. You can relive it below.

During her performance, James Harden looked like he was ready to risk it all.

The hilarious moment led to Minaj rapping, on Post Malone's "Ball For Me": "I'm still droppin' jaws/Got 'em lookin' like James Harden at the awards."

Hip-hop was a central theme of the show, which highlighted Drake as its host and also featured a performance from 2 Chainz. It appears that theme will carry through to the 2018 show.

We now know who will provide the music: Travis Scott. The NBA issued a release Monday morning announcing Scott, a noted Houston Rockets fan, will perform two of his biggest hits: "Butterfly Effect" and "Goosebumps."

Anthony Anderson will host the awards show, which is slated for June 25. It will take place at Barker Hangar in Los Angeles. You can watch it on TNT.

In addition to the standard awards, such as league MVP and Coach of the Year, the awards show will also feature categories such as Best Style, Dunk of the Year, Block of the Year, Clutch Shot of the Year, Assist of the Year, and Handle of the Year.

Harden, who averaged 30.4 points and 8.8 assists per game while leading Houston to the league's best record, is widely considered the favorite to claim MVP. The other finalists: LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
