If there’s one thing even casual basketball fans know about Vince Carter, it’s that the man is a highlight reel machine. The former Toronto Raptor and current Sacramento King is proving that he still has plenty of juice despite being twice as old as some of his teammates. Carter, who turns 41-years-old today, is pretty much the definition of a living legend and thankfully for us, he isn’t planning to slow down anytime soon.

To help celebrate his birthday, VC sat down with the NBA media team to walk down memory lane and recount the best dunks of his storied career. Along with ten clips of Carter throwing down the hammer, the 8-time All Star also gives us a peek behind the curtain and breaks down exactly what was going on in his head at the time. And given that half of them happened while Vince wore purple, we don’t have to tell you that it’s essential viewing for Raptors fans.

In related news, we also have a Drake-approved Vince Carter documentary to look forward to. Aptly titled, The Carter Effect, the film premiered at TIFF last year and will likely hit streaming sometime in the near future. In the meantime, check out the man of the hour chat about his dunkage above via YouTube.
