The comedian pokes fun at Smith’s family dynamic

After Smith shared a picture of himself holding his oldest son, Trey Smith, with Trey’s mother Sheree Zampino in celebration of her birthday, captioning it “Happy Bday, @shereezampino. #BestBabyMamaEver! :-) I Love You, Ree-Re.” Rock commented under the Instagram post saying, “Wow. You have a very understanding wife.” Rock seemed to be referencing Smith being able to maintain a healthy relationship with someone he used to be involved with. Zampino later replied to Rock’s comment, saying “Don’t hate.” Smith didn’t reply to Rock at the time.
