On Thursday, Amber Heard delivered an emotional testimony in which she accused Johnny Depp of sexually assaulting her and attacking her over James Franco.
Heard took the stand once again on Thursday as part of Depp’s defamation trial against her, in which he accused her of defaming him in a Washington Post article in which she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse. The Aquaman actress alleged that Depp had multiple violent outbursts during their marriage, and at one point he penetrated her with a glass bottle “over and over again,” per Deadline.
She said he threatened to “carve up my face” with a broken bottle during a violent fight in March 2015 in Australia. Heard said Depp allegedly screamed that he “fucking hates me and I ruined his life” as he punched the wall next to her. “I’ve never been so scared in my life,” she added, wiping tears from her eyes. “I was trying to tell him he was really hurting me, I don’t think he knew what he was doing. … I couldn’t breathe.”
Elsewhere in her testimony, she alleged that Depp became violent because he was jealous of her kissing Franco in their film, The Adderall Diaries, per New York Post. “He called me a slut,” she said, apparently because he accused her of “secretly having a thing” with Franco. During that incident, Depp allegedly became increasingly angry and even slapped her at one point. “It didn’t hurt my face, I just felt embarrassed that he would do that to me in front of others.” It’s not entirely clear how many others were present at the time of the incident, but it went down on the set of The Adderall Diaries.
“I just remember feeling so embarrassed that he could kick me to the ground in front of people,” she continued. “He hated James Franco. He was accusing me of having a thing with him in the past since I had filmed Pineapple Express with him.” Heard played the romantic interest of Seth Rogen’s character in the comedy-action film. Her latest testimony comes after she accused her ex-husband of performing non-consensual cavity searches on her.
Last month, Depp verified a claim that he said he’d “fuck her burnt corpse” in a series of text messages, and said he believed that she was having an affair with Franco at one point in time. Both parties have accused the other of abusive behavior throughout their relationship.
