Not long after sharing a first look at the upcoming drama series, Netflix has released the first trailer for True Story starring Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes.

In the series, which is executive produced by Narcos and Narcos: Mexico showrunner Eric Newman as part of an overall television deal with the streaming platform, Hart and Snipes play brothers. Hart, playing a famous comedian who goes by the name Kid, makes a tour stop in his hometown of Philadelphia. From there, he’s forced to deal with the consequences when a night out with his older brother Carlton (Snipes) takes a dramatic turn.

“This is a toast to my little brother,” Snipes’ character says in the newly released footage. “Always got my back.”

Stephen Williams, whose credits include Watchmen and Westworld, directs and executive produces the first three episodes of the new series. Star Trek: Picard and Kung Fu director Hanelle Culpepper helms the final four. Joining Newman as an executive producer is Hart, who’s also making his dramatic series debut.

Billy Zane, Tawny Newsome, Lauren London, and more were announced earlier this year to have been added to the cast of the limited series. In a recent Instagram post, Hart told fans to “buckle up” ahead of the show’s release. “This one is special!” he said. “This series is a drama/thriller that will blow ur mind!”
