As both stars have recalled in separate interviews, Tiffany Haddish was given $300 by Kevin Hart during their early years on the comedy scene, a gift the Girls Trip breakout has publicly stated helped her get a break from the chaos to define her goals. Fittingly, Hart isn't concerned with getting the money back.

Hart said as much in a recent Essencechat, joking that getting a repayment from his Night School co-star would leave him with nothing to hang over her head.

"No!" Hart, who almost hosted the Oscars earlier this year, said on the topic of repayment. "Because then what would I have to hang over head? Absolutely nothing. I need something that I can bring up from time to time. So, no!" Ultimately, Hart said, he'd rather have the lifelong option of telling Haddish "every chance that I get" that she still owes him the money, though he doesn't want it returned.

As you may or may not recall, there was an attempt at repayment during Night School promo in 2018. However, Hart ultimately returned the repayment to Haddish by way of sneaking it into her bag.

"I am paying you back!" Haddish said at the time. "I pay all my loans off. That is something you and my Grandma taught me."

Next up for Haddish is Andrea Berloff's '70s-set drama The Kitchen, alongside Elisabeth Moss and Melissa McCarthy. Hart, meanwhile, is set to return to the ever-expanding Jumanji universe later this year.
