Kelsey Grammer is reportedly preparing for the arrival of his eighth child.

The 70-year-old, known for his iconic roles in Frasier and Cheers, and his wife Kayte Walsh, are expecting, according to a Daily Mail source shared on Tuesday, June 17. This will be the couple’s fourth child together.

A source close to the couple told the outlet that Grammer is "thrilled" to embrace fatherhood once again, especially after giving his famous character Frasier Crane one final send-off. “Kelsey is thrilled to finally have time to fully enjoy being a father all over again,” the source shared. "He’s incredibly supportive of Kayte throughout this pregnancy, which, though unexpected, has reignited a spark in their marriage that they both needed."

The source continued, “After giving Frasier one last go, [Grammer] has hung his hat up on that character and is ready for the next phase of his life. He is looking forward to embracing the hands-on parenting he missed in the past.”

Grammer and Walsh, 46, share three other children — Faith, 12, Gabriel, 10, and James, 8. The couple met in 2009 on a flight and married a few years later in 2011.

The actor became a father for the first time in 1983 with daughter Spencer Grammer, 41, from his marriage to Doreen Alderman. He later welcomed daughter Greer Grammer, 33, with girlfriend Barrie Buckner in 1992. He shares his two children Mason Grammer, 23, and Jude Grammer, 20 with ex-wife Camille Grammer, whom he married in 1997. They later divorced in 2010.
