Fans around the nation were shocked Thursday to hear the news that legendary professional wrestler Hulk Hogan had passed away.
On Friday, July 25, Hogan’s wife, Sky Daily, spoke out publicly about his death for the first time in an emotional tribute post on Instagram.
“I wasn’t ready for this… and my heart is in pieces. He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time,” she began.
"This loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart. Hulk loved his fans so much and despite his growing physical discomfort, he did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all. You meant everything to him,” she continued.
Daily noted that Hogan was a man of faith who believed in God.
“I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he’s been welcomed home. Please keep his family and all of us who loved him in your prayers as we try to navigate this new reality,” she concluded her statement.
Emergency responders were called to Hogan’s home in Clearwater, Florida, on Thursday, July 24, after reports that Hogan had experienced a cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital but would later be pronounced dead. He was 71 years old.
Hogan and Daily got engaged in July of 2023 and were married just two months later. She was his third wife. Hogan had two daughters with his previous wife, Linda Hogan.
