Siegfried and Roy

Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, the filmmaking duo behind Tiger King, will reportedly center their next project around Siegfriend & Roy.

Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn were best known for their Las Vegas show that went on from 1990 until 2003, ending when Horn got badly mauled onstage by a white tiger. Horn survived, but he was left partially paralyzed after losing a lot of blood and suffering a stroke. He was not able to walk or talk for nearly two-and-a-half years following the incident.

That mauling will be a main focus of the new project, as first divulged by The Hollywood Reporter. They learned of the filmmakers' newest plans after they were contacted by someone claiming to be from Tiger King's production team. That person was reportedly looking for information on how to reach ex-Siegfried and Roy tiger handler Chris Lawrence.

Lawrence was profiled by THRin 2019 after talking about the 15+ years of PTSD he'd been suffering from as a result of the 2003 attack.

THR adds that this follow-up episode about Siegfried & Roy will be under the Tiger King name.

It's not yet clear if Siegfried will participate for the episode, but it's certainly worth noting that Roy died this past Friday as a result of complications from the coronavirus. He was 75.

His publicist had stated in late April that he had tested positive for the illness, even adding that he was "responding well to treatment."

Siegfried also released a statement on his former partner after he passed.

"Today, the world has lost one of the greats of magic, but I have lost my best friend," he said, according to PEOPLE. "From the moment we met, I knew Roy and I, together, would change the world. There could be no Siegfried without Roy, and no Roy without Siegfried."
