Charlie Sheen is denying accusations that he raped Corey Haim when Sheen was 19 and Haim was 13.
These allegations, which had been publicly aired before, are receiving new attention because they were mentioned in a documentary called My Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys. That documentary, which features explicit accusations from Corey Feldman, premiered on Monday night in Los Angeles with technical difficulties:
In that documentary Feldman levels the accusation that Sheen raped Haim while the pair were working together on the set of Lucas (1986). According to Rolling Stone, the scene "drew gasps" from those in attendance.
Rolling Stone continued by describing the retelling as a "detailed account" in which Feldman says that it happened between a pair of trailers in broad daylight.
Haim died of pneumonia in 2010.
“This wasn’t like a one-time thing he said in passing,” Feldman says in the documentary, according to Entertainment Weekly. “It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, by the way, this happened.’ He went into great detail.”
“[Haim] told me, ‘Charlie bent me over in between two trailers and put Crisco oil on my butt and raped me in broad daylight. Anybody could have walked by, anybody could have seen it.'”
In response, Sheen gave a statement to the HuffPost in which he categorically denied that the assault ever took place.
"These sick, twisted and outlandish allegations never occurred," said Sheen, while adding that those who see them should "consider the source and read what [Haim’s] mother Judy Haim has to say.”
Previously, Sheen sued the National Enquirerfor defamation after similar allegations were made in that publication. That occurred in 2017, with the two parties settling in 2018.
The HuffPost adds that the new film also shows a scene from a 2017 episode of The Dr. Oz Show in which Judy Haim identifies an actor who isn't Sheen as her son's rapist.
She also denied that Sheen ever raped her son when speaking toEntertainment Tonightin that same year.
