Yung Filly has found himself in some legal hot water.
The British rapper and media personality has been charged with rape and assault in Australia while on tour, The Guardian reports. He was arrested in Brisbane and transported to Perth, where the incident allegedly happened.
A woman accused Filly of assaulting her in a hotel room after his Sept. 27 performance. He’s now been charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault, and one count of “impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck,” per the outlet. It's to be noted that Today Perth reported the incident as happening on Sept. 28.
In court, local authorities contested that the 29-year-old was a flight risk, and while he was granted bail, he must remain in Western Australia. He also isn’t permitted to discuss the case online or speak to the alleged victim.
In addition to making music, Filly is a television personality, having previously hosted BBC shows Hot Property and Don’t Scream. He has huge TikTok and YouTube followings, with 3.2 million followers and 1.8 million subscribers, respectively. He and another YouTuber, Chunkz, co-host The Chunkz and Filly Show.
