Just two months after he and his wife of seven years, Anna Marie Tendler, announced they were separating, John Mulaney has filed for divorce.

TMZ reports the 38-year-old comedian officially entered the paperwork in a New York court on Friday. Back in May, the couple announced their split after Mulaney’s two-month stay in rehab with alcohol and drug abuse. He reportedly asked for a divorce from his wife three months prior. Mulaney and Tendler, 36, started dating in 2010 before tying the knot in the Catskill Mountains in July 2014.

“John will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work,” a spokesperson for Mulaney told the publication after announcing the split. Through a spokesperson, Tendler added that she was “heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.”

Just days after the couple confirmed their separation, People reported that Mulaney and Olivia Munn had started dating. “This is very new, they’re taking it slowly,” an insider told the outlet, adding that they met at a Los Angeles church.

According to Munn, she was a longtime fan of her now-boyfriend before they linked up.

“We were at a wedding together and I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, do you and [Tendler] want to go have dinner or something and go hang out?’” Munn recalled during a 2015 conversation with HuffPost Live. “At first it was cool, and then I kept going up to him at the wedding like, ‘So, you having fun?’ I was just so obsessed with hanging out with and talking with him.”

The 41-year-old actress was previously in a relationship with Aaron Rodgers for three years, before the pair broke things off in 2017.
