Following the news of 83-year-old Al Pacino expecting a child with 29-year-old girlfriend Noor Alfallah, the actor was reportedly "shocked" because he didn't think he could get anyone pregnant.

Per TMZ, sources close to the Academy Award-winning actor said he was "shocked" when he found out about the pregnancy two months ago and asked for a DNA test to prove that he's the father. Alfallah, who is currently eight months pregnant, agreed to get the test and the results confirmed that he's the father.

A representative for Pacino confirmed the news of Alfallah's pregnancy with Pacino's child, which will be his fourth, earlier this week. He previously welcomed two children with actress Beverly D'Angelo and one with acting teacher Jan Tarrant. When his fourth child is born, Pacino will go down as the 14th oldest father in recorded history. The 53-year age gap between him and his girlfriend has undoubtedly raised some eyebrows, though.

Fellow Godfather and Heat alum and longtime friend Robert De Niro welcomed his seventh child at age 79 last month, and unlike Pacino, he confirmed the child was planned. “This baby is planned. They both wanted this baby," Gayle King revealed following an interview with the actor in promotion of his new movie About My Father. "They’re over the moon. … He’s very psyched and very excited about it.” At the press junket for the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, De Niro offered congratulations to Pacino. "What a guy," he told the press. "Go Al, God bless him."

Pacino has a number of projects on the horizon, including the Michael Keaton drama Knox Goes Away. Earlier this year he debuted the second and final season of the Prime Video series Hunters.
