Huncho is ready to go Hollywood.

Quavo caught up with TMZ over the weekend, when he told the publication that he has his eyes set on a major acting role: Wesley Snipes’ character of Sidney “Syd” Deane in the upcoming White Men Can’t Jump reboot. The return of the classic 1992 film was announced recently, with Jack Harlow hired to star in the film “after his first ever screen audition, immediately winning over the filmmakers and execs.” Now, “Huncho Snipes” wants in on the action.

Giving himself the new nickname, Quavo told TMZ that “they need to call me, so me and Jack Harlow can do it,” and that he needs “to play Wesley Snipes’ role.” It wouldn’t be his acting debut, either, as he previously made some appearances in Atlanta and Black-ish, but if this role were to happen, it would be the Migos MC’s first major film.

The movie’s new screenplay was written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall, and will be directed by Calmatic, with executive production by Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil, and Noah Weinstein. Plus, earlier this year, Quavo and Harlow faced off against each other during the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game, so they’ve already got some experience on the court together.
