The Good Place star Jameela Jamil has spent a good chunk of her career advocating for body positivity, and now she's asking Khloe Kardashian to do the same. Jamil shared an Instagram post of Khloe's that she found extremely troubling—one that read, "2 Things a Girl Wants: 1) Lose Weight. 2) Eat"—and shared sympathy for the "poor woman."

"This makes me sad," she wrote on Twitter. "I hope my daughter grows up wanting more than this. I want more than this. Sending love to this poor woman. This industry did this to her. The media did it to her. They fat-shamed her into a prison of self-critique. Dear girls, WANT MORE THAN THIS."

She went on to explain that she calls out these posts with the hopes that it will help young people at risk of developing eating disorders.

"I am doing what I do and saying what I say for the mental health of young kids who follow damaging rhetoric and are at risk of internalizing it more than adults. Nobody thinks/cares enough about their mental health," she said. "People who haven’t suffered with/or understand eating disorders don’t understand the desperate need we are in to change the conversation around weight and food."

People who haven’t suffered with/or understand eating disorders don’t understand the desperate need we are in to change the conversation around weight and food. Especially media and celebrities...They need to understand how triggering words can be for those suffering with ED. ❤️

Jamil has used her platform to call out damaging aspects of social media in the past. She recently pointed out the dangers of celebrities sharing ads for flat tummy teas

"God I hope all these celebrities all shit their pants in public, the way the poor women who buy this nonsense upon their recommendation do," Jamil tweeted, along with a photo of Cardi B promoting a detox tea. "Not that they actually take this shit. They just flog it because they need MORE MONEY."
