It's no secret that there's a large amount of excitement for the conclusion to the Avengers saga. While the fandom rages on throughout the world, a different kind of "excitement" has just been uncovered and documented.
Men's Health commissioned Pornhub to calculate the most popular Marvel-related searches on the site, and boy are the results impressive. PH has recorded a whopping 2912% increase in Marvel-related searches on April 19th. The adult film streaming company also compared this year's results with trends from around the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, which only yielded a 356% increase in searches.
Spoiler alert: the top two individual Avengers searched for were both women: Captain Marvel, whose movie recently topped $1 billion at the box office, claimed the number one spot, while Black Widow came in at a number two. The rest of the list is largely male, as Captain America, Black Panther, Hulk, and Spider-Man all made the cut.
The recent surge in Avenger-related searches may not just be for pleasure. A number of spoilers have been making their way across the internet, and Pornhub has gained a reputation of being an alternative platform to consume mainstream media.
Surprisingly, Ant-Man was left off the list, especially given a recent fan theory on the ending (which you can go read for yourself). For those of you who can wait, catch Avengers: Endgame on Friday, April 26.
