'Avengers: Endgame' Reactions Are Rolling in After Los Angeles Premiere

'Endgame' is still days away, so use these reactions as nourishment until then.

This is a big week for questions in need of answers, as Avengers: Endgame will be readily available for theatrical consumption on Friday. But first, the Endgame team gathered in Los Angeles for the film's global premiere.

For Chris Evans, a.k.a. Captain America, the screening provided the opportunity for approximately six consecutive cries. "I have a lot of my friends and family here tonight, and a lot of them are right up here," he told those gathered for the premiere, which Variety reports included phones being taken up prior to any unveiling. "We have this bond that transcends what we do for a living … I cried like six times [tonight]."

Also notably in attendance at Monday night's expectedly star-stacked Los Angeles premiere was Natalie Portman, who appeared in Thor and Thor: The Dark World. Naturally, some took her appearance at the premiere as some sort of a sign:

Avengers: Endgame is out April 26 and, for at least 17 theaters at the time of this writing, that drop date will result in staying open for four days straight. Thanks to Monday's unveiling, fans now have some spoiler-free reactions to how the 181-minute era ender handles the task at hand.

Current predictions, per Variety, place opening North America numbers at as high as $268 million across the first three days. If the movie tops $257.7 million in the first weekend, it'll best Infinity War to bag the largest domestic debut ever. It's also on pace to do similarly massive numbers internationally, surely breaking multiple records in the process. (And in just over two months, Spider-Man: Far From Home will surely earn its own massive haul, especially since Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige just revealed that film will wrap the MCU's Phase 3, rather than Endgame.)

As expected, early reactions are indeed positive, with many praising the film's emotional core and how the Russo brothers have approached arguably the most crucial entry in the MCU. Tap into the hype below, then look for more formal reviews to start popping up in the days ahead.

Man #AvengersEndgame kicked my ass. It was an epic conclusion to 11 years of films. It had laughs, incredible action and absolute emotional rollercoaster. It was the series finale for these cast of characters that I had been hoping for. Congrats to all for pulling off the feat.

#AvengersEndgame is a masterful epic - a true culmination of 22 films that not only concludes the story, but expands upon it. You’ll learn more about the other movies while this one unfolds. If Infinity War is the brawn, Endgame is the brains. And wow, what an ending! pic.twitter.com/94ttBUQKJ0

#AvengersEndgame thoughts. Still processing: I laughed, I cried (multiple times), I screamed, but overall an EPIC ending to the Infinity Saga. #EndgamePremiereLA #Avengers #Endgame #whateverittakes

#AvengersEndgame is A LOT. Too much at times. But wow the payoff is huge. Left me proud to have invested over a decade in a franchise that delivers an inspiring exploration of what it means to be family & a hero. (Endgame also now has one of my favorite shots in the entire MCU.)

Just watched Avengers: Endgame. I don’t believe hyperbole is possible for this movie. It is the ultimate Marvel movie in every way possible and words cannot describe how epic it is. And yes, Hawkeye is a rockstar.

All I’m going to say about @Avengers #EndGame is that I am an emotional wreck and can’t stop crying

The scope of Avengers: Endgame is impossible to put into words. What Fiege & MCU achieved over last 10-years has lead to this gloriously masterful moment in cinema & it’s truly mind-blowing how beautifully paced this storytelling is. Perfectly balanced. As all things should be.
