Cult film director and writer Jim Jarmusch has a new film on the way, and it has a very impressive cast. The Dead Don't Die is something of a departure for him and promises "the greatest zombie cast ever disassembled." RZA and 71-year-old Iggy Pop have been officially announced as members of the starry-as-hell cast featuring Selena GomezBill Murray, Adam Driver, Tom Waits, Tilda Swinton, Luka Sabbat, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Rosie Perez, Chloë Sevigny, and Caleb Landry Jones of Get Out and Twin Peaks: The Return.

The Dead Don't Die is being billed as a zombie comedy, and was announced last year with filming beginning in July 2018 in New York City. Focus Features has set the premiere for June 14 this year, with Universal Pictures International picking up worldwide distribution. Jarmusch's last narrative project arrived in 2016 with the quiet Adam Driver-starring Paterson, although Jarmusch released his Stooges documentary Gimme Danger the same year. He's perhaps most known for his cult favorite anthology film Coffee and Cigarettes, which saw Murray sit down for coffee with both GZA and RZA.

Throughout his movie making career, Jarmusch has had 11 of his films play at the Cannes Film Festival, meaning The Dead Don't Die could very well see its world premiere in May. Until then, we'll eagerly await the trailer.
