Luke Perry reportedly suffered a massive stroke on Wednesday and was rushed to a nearby hospital, according to TMZ. Representatives of the Riverdale actor confirmed that Perry "is currently under observation at the hospital."
Paramedics reportedly responded to a call at Perry's Sherman Oaks home on Wednesday morning, per TMZ. The actor's condition remains unclear. Perry is currently cast as Archie's dad on the CW drama Riverdale, the actor also previously starred as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210 between 1990 and 1995 and again from 1998 to 2000.
News of the actor's medical crisis comes after Fox announced a six-episode reboot of 90210, with Tori Spelling and other original cast members returning to reprise their roles. Although the actor's return to the soap opera has not been announced, in 2017, Perry explained that he would jump at the opportunity to play Dylan's character again. However, Spelling told Access Live that Perry's Riverdale production schedule would prohibit him from being able to star in the reboot.
Once news of Perry's condition spread, celebrities took to social media to send their well wishes towards the actor and his family.
