Katherine Langford of '13 Reasons Why' Cast in 'Avengers 4’

The star of Netflix's '13 Reasons Why' will appear in the currently untitled 'Infinity War' follow-up.

13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford recently landed herself the main role in Netflix's upcoming Frank Miller-created series Cursed, but The Wrap reports that she's managed to bag an even more exciting gig. The rising star has reportedly got an undisclosed role in Marvel's upcoming Infinity War sequel, which still doesn't have a title.

With filming on Avengers 4 already wrapped, Langford has already filmed all of her scenes for the upcoming mega-hit. Marvel has yet to comment on the news, which is expected considering how close they keep the secrets of their films to their chests. Post production on the Anthony and Joe Russo-directed project is currently under way, with plans to finalize the film in March before its May 3 release date.

It's not unlike Marvel to reveal actors involved with their projects at the very last minute, with Carrie Coon revealed to be playing villain Proxima Midnight the same month Infinity War premiered last year. It's likely we won't learn more about Langford's role in the movie until sometime next year, judging from Marvel's track record.

Details on the highly-anticipated Avengers 4 remain scarce, although fans have speculated that Chris Evans'Captain America is going to die come the end of the film following a particularly heartfelt tweet. "I know I did tweet something that made a lot of people think that it was in some way a spoiler, and I should clarify that, regardless of how Avengers 4 ends, I would’ve tweeted the exact same thing,” he explained.

Elizabeth Olsen, meanwhile, teased that things are "only going to get worse" for the Avengers in the sequel. Besides those teases, though, pretty much nothing is known about the film. Hopefully a trailer will arrive sometime before the end of the year, clearing up some questions ahead of that May 3 premiere.
