It’s unsurprising that Drake is the man responsible for this summer’s most viral social media challenge. The #InMyFeelingsChallenge, which was created by Internet personality Shiggy and helped propel the song to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, fosters the classic social media element of competition. Who can do the dance better? Who can do it with the funniest or most shocking background? Will Smith arguably won the challenge by going above and beyond (literally) when he climbed a bridge in Budapest to ask Kiki if she loved him—what does that mean for us mere mortals?
Well, some have taken a somewhat creative but dangerous approach: to jump out of a moving vehicle to do the challenge. As a result, the National Transportation Safety Board has actually had to issue a statement to implore people to stop hopping out of their cars for the ‘gram.

“Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death in the U.S. Hopping out of a moving vehicle or jumping into lanes of traffic to show your dance moves is foolish and dangerous – to you and those around you,” said Nicholas Worrell, Chief of Safety Advocacy at the National Transportation Safety Board, per The Blast.
“There’s a time and place for everything, but our nation’s highways and roadways are no place for the #InMyFeelings challenge,” Worrell added.

The Blast adds that there have been no injuries reported as a direct result of the challenge, but come on. We had to get a national agency involved in this? Jimmy Kimmel and Ty Dolla Sign had already warned everyone about how dangerous this particular genre of challenge was. He even went so far as to propose a purposefully boring alternative: #TheLightChallenge, which encourages everyone to get their seatbelts on and slow down for yellow lights. Sure, it won’t yield nearly as many funny videos to post online… but it’s probably for the best.
