Vince Vaughn was arrested for DUI in Manhattan Beach, California early Sunday morning, reports TMZ.

The actor and another passenger were stopped at a checkpoint at about 12:30 a.m., according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department. CNN reports that Vaughn was stopped in Hermosa Beach outside of Los Angeles. When they were asked to step outside the vehicle, Vaughn reportedly initially refused to get out and did not cooperate with the police. Once Vaughn finally cooperated (at around 1 am), he was arrested.

Vaughn was booked and cited for obstructing an officer and misdemeanor DUI at around 4 am on Sunday morning. The unidentified male passenger was also arrested for public intoxication and obstruction. TMZ has reported that both men posted bail and have since been released. This is Vaughn's first DUI offense.

In 2001, reports Variety, Vaughn was arrested in Wilmington, N.C. after a bar fight. During the brawl, Steve Buscemi was stabbed in the throat, arm, and face when he intervened in the fight between a local man, Vaughn, and screenwriter Scott Rosenberg. While Vaughn was arrested for assault following the incident, the charges were later dropped. At the time, Vaughn was in North Carolina filming Domestic Disturbance

While he may be best known for his work in comedy films like DodgeballWedding Crashers, and The Break-Up, Vaughn can most recently be seen in the 2017 action film Brawl in Cell Block 99. He will also star alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the 2019 WWE biopic Fighting With My Family.
