Mr. Robot’s Rami Malek and Sam Esmail will reunite on the big screen.

According to Deadline, Malek has been tapped to star in Universal’s upcoming American Radical project, based on the 2017 book American Radical: Inside the World of an Undercover Muslim FBI Agent. Esmail, Mr. Robot’s creator and showrunner, has signed on to direct the thriller. Deadline reports that the studio is still in the hunt for the project’s writer.

American Radical is an explosive memoir co-written by best-selling author Kevin Maurer and a Muslim FBI agent under the pseudonym Tamer Elnoury. In the book, Elnoury shares his experiences going from a police officer to a member of an elite counter-terrorism unit in the years following 9/11. American Radical primarily focuses on how the agent infiltrated an al Qaeda-directed terror cell in North America, and ultimately thwarted a 2013 terrorist plot to derail a train headed from New York to Toronto.

According to Deadline, Malek and Esmail will produce the movie, alongside Chad Hamilton, who has also received producer credits for Mr. Robot.

American Radical is currently in development; however, Universal has not revealed a release date. Malek will also star in the upcoming remake of Papillon, as well as the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

Mr. Robot returns to the USA Network for its fourth season later this year.
