Whether you’re in love with an emo girl, or vibe more with Willow’s 2019 self-titled LP, it’s hard to deny that she has genre-spanning hits up her sleeve. Her latest single and video for “PURGE,” alongside Siiickbrain, are just part of that story.
On Friday, the artist known elsewhere as Willow Smith dropped her new track in the form of a music video, with the track to hit streaming in a week, and it’s safe to say she’s surprised fans with yet another curveball. The high-energy angsty rock tune, with a trap beat tossed in there for some added fun, finds Willow in a very angry spot—with visuals that emphasize just that.
In the video for “PURGE,” Willow and Siiickbrain can be seen kissing in a car, smashing said car with a baseball bat, and screaming at the top of their lungs into each other’s faces. It’s a good time.
The new track comes just a month after Willow earned herself another TikTok smash in “Emo Girl” with Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker, and less than a year after her latest LP lately I feel EVERYTHING first hit streaming. The record featured Barker, Avril Lavigne, Tierra Whack, and even an eventual “transparent soul” remix with Kid Cudi.
