Trevor Jackson has shared his new video for “Bouts to Be,” premiering above.

Directed by Jackson and Zev York, the visual and corresponding track—which was written by Jackson and Mike Jay—have a classic R&B sound and style.

“I wanted the video to represent the feeling of wanting something so bad and not being able to have it. That feeling is like torture,” Jackson said in a statement.

The track first appeared on the singer’s debut album The Love Language, which arrived in March.

“This album can be whatever the love languages mean to you, but don’t settle for anything less than that,” Jackson added.

Trevor Jackson also stars in Grown-ish, which is set to return at the beginning of 2022, and will soon begin filming his role in the Morgan Freeman movie Hate to See You Go.

Watch the video for the Harvey Mason and Damon Thomas (of The Underdogs) produced record “Bouts to Be” at the top.
