The latest chapter in the long-running beef between 50 Cent and the Game unfolded this week, with the Los Angeles rapper speaking on the G-Unit founder.

During an appearance on Fat Joe’s Instagram Live, the Game rejected the notion that Fif put him on during the early stages of his career.

“I was in a group with those n***as,” Game said of G-Unit, “but I wasn’t breaking peanut butter jelly sandwiches in half with [them]. I didn’t see them n***as until it was time to work.”

The Compton rapper continued, “‘A lot of people like ‘N***a, 50 put you on.’ No, 50 did not put me on. People don’t understand that. At that time in L.A., I was it. I was the n***a. That’s why Jimmy [Iovine] took me, and told 50 he was putting me in G-Unit. And 50 accepted it because my name was ringing bells in the streets of hip-hop.”

Game went on to clarify that he’s not denying 50 didn’t help with his early success.

“I’m not saying that Aftermath and Dre and 50 didn’t help, because that is my story. But if I had signed with Terror Squad, I would still be the Game.”

The Game’s comments arrive two weeks after 50 mocked his longtime rival after Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine failed to acknowledge the Game while walking past him at a Los Angeles Lakers game.

Fif jumped on Instagram to troll the Compton rapper, writing, “LOL! The Man didn’t even look at him. Get this guy out of here, 50 wrote the records. LMFAO.”

It didn’t take long for the Game to respond to 50’s trolling, as he jumped in the comment section of the viral clip to blast the Queens rapper.

“N***a, I ain’t even see Mr. Burns,” the Game said about Iovine. “and if you wrote my records… write you one today & put it out n***a !!! Your rap career died wit them loli pop strap tank tops .. you a actor, n that’s why you ran to tv… give us season 2 of that Tommy bullshit & leave this rap shit to n***as who can spell correctly & actually got bars goofy n***a !!! #HeGoneDeleteThisCommentlnTheCar.”
