Tay Keith, Lil Durk, and Gunna have joined forces to release their latest track, “Lights Off,” which was also touched by the magic hands of Mike Dean.

The “Sicko Mode” producer took to Instagram to share a screenshot of his text thread with Dean, who sent him the final version of the track.

The song finds Durk and Gunna gliding over the smooth, electric beat as they rap about how their jewelry shines, even when the lights are off. Keith putting this song together is reflective of his great work ethic, something that helped him become an honorary professor at his alma mater.

In September, Middle Tennessee State University announced that the Grammy-nominated producer would be given the honor, and Tay Keith took to his Instagram to thank his old school. “From the days I was struggling in class failing trying to get candidacy for the college of recording industry to coming back and becoming a honorary professor show you that hard work with passion pay off,” he wrote in the caption.

He later revealed that he would also be starting an internship program with MTSU using their new recording studio. Complex named Tay Keith the best rap producer of 2018 thanks to his work on that years biggest hit songs, like Drake’s “Nonstop,” Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode,” and BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive.”

Keith and BlocBoy JB also joined forces again recently for their January joint mixtape, Bacc 2 da Blocwhich featured Pooh ShiestyEST Gee, and more.
