Not long after the song debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, Nicki Minaj has shared the colorful video for “Super Freaky Girl.”

Starring Nicki alongside her “Ken” Alexander Ludwig, who is perhaps best known for his role in Vikings, the “Super Freaky Girl” clip is suitably animated and sexually-charged. The clip isn’t quite as explicit as the lyrics of the track, but it’s far from subtle during a few of its more suggestive scenes.

Directed by Joseph Kahn, the music video for the Rick James-sampling track arrives not long after Nicki accepted the Video Vanguard Award at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. She also delivered a medley of some of her biggest hits at the show, including “Super Freaky Girl” and her iconic “Monster” verse alongside a slew of older fan favorites.

“I wish Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson were still here. I wish that people understood what they meant and what they were going through,” Minaj said when accepting the Video Vanguard Award. “I wish people took mental health seriously, even for the people who we think have perfect lives. I wish Pop Smoke and Juice WRLD and Nipsey Hussle were here.”

“Super Freaky Girl” headlined the rapper’s recent greatest hits compilation, Queen Radio: Volume 1. The project features tracks from throughout her career, across Pink FridayThe Pinkprint, and Queen. It also includes a number of singles that were shared more recently, with the Lil Baby collab “Do We Have a Problem?” among the 28 songs on the release.
