Moneybagg Yo isn’t shy about showing his love for Ari Fletcher, but how he’s making their relationship the focus of his latest single “Hard For The Next.”
For this track, Moneybagg taps Future to help give two perspectives on spoiling your romantic interest. For Moneybagg, he’s spoiling his lover because she completes him. As for Future, he just wants her next boyfriend to know that he was richer than him.
“I just bought a bitch a Patek/I ain’t love her I just stepped up her status,” Future croons. “Had to turn another one up. … I can’t have love for these hoes who capping/Saint Laurent my attire, made it a habit/I got more than one, I done made it a habit.”
Although future starts the song off with a bang, Moneybagg reels it in by showering Ari with affection over an instrumental inspired by Ginuwine’s “Differences.” Ari is also the focal point of the song’s video. The pair cruise around Miami in a WaterCar Panther before allowing the near $200,000 vehicle to prove its worth by turning into a boat once they hit the ocean. He also takes her out to eat and for strolls on the beach.
Outside of continuing his relationship with Ari, Moneybagg has unintentionally become a political topic. Once it was confirmed that President Biden would be sending eligible citizens $1,400 stimulus checks, people took to social media where they started calling Biden “Moneybagg Joe.” To further the allusion, they even created memes that mashed-up Biden and Yo’s likeness.
