J.I.D and J. Cole have given their standout D-Day track “Stick” the visual treatment with a new outing directed by Waboosh & Onda.

“Stick” is the first track off Dreamville’s Gangsta Grillz mixtape to be turned into a music video. The clip also features appearances from featured artists Sheck Wes and Kenny Mason.

Dreamville’s link-up with DJ Drama surprised everyone when it dropped on March 31. The 15-track project featured the entire Dreamville roster as well as 2 Chainz, A$AP Ferg, Young Nudy, Reason, G Perico, and, of course, Sheck Wes and Kenny Mason.

“Stick” also arrives after J.I.D dropped off his “29 (Freestyle)” track in June. The Spillage Village member is working on his DiCaprio 2 follow-up The Forever Story, but he’s remained elusive about details. He’s recently been spotted in the studio with Drake and Dr. Dre.

“The Forever story is the one..,” J.I.D wrote on Twitter in 2021. “It’s otw soon I been working for years on dis bit…I feel good about my growth.”

As for Dreamville’s founder J. Cole, he’s been hitting the festival circuit hard his summer, but made time before his performance at New York City’s Governor’s Ball to chat with Jazzy’s World TV, which the interviewing phenom admitted would have never happened if J.I.D hadn't come through with the hookup.

“I was definitely very blessed to interview Mr. J. Cole because he’s one of my favorite rappers and it meant a lot to me. I also wanted to use my platform to inspire other people to stay persistent in their goals and their dreams,” she said. “We all have a purpose on this Earth and in order to gain that purpose, we need to work on it. I also want to give a big shout-out to J.I.D who played a major role in making the interview happen. I’m grateful. Thank you, J.I.D.”
