Dipset rapper Cam’Ron linked up with Funkmaster Flex on HOT 97 to deliver another hard-hitting, distinctively New York freestyle.

On Friday, Flex shared video of the over 6-minute long freestyle, which saw Cam’Ron effortlessly rapping over two beats perfectly tailored to his sound. “If it ain’t Gillie or N.O.R.E., I ain’t friends with you/Everybody else one hundred thousand for the interview,” he raps over the first beat, before slowing things down for the second one. “Look at my eyes you lookin at pain,” he continues. “My index is not for Windex, but I make this super clear, n***a.”

The clip opens with Flex explaining that Dipset laid the groundwork for the Funk Flex freestyle series, only for Cam’ron to ask for the beat to come on moments later. The last time Cam’Ron stopped by for a Funk Flex freestyle was in 2015 with the rest of the Dipset crew.

Recently, Dame Dash said that the sequel to the 2002 crime drama Paid in Full, which starred Cam’ron, among others, is being shot in Newark. In an interview in 2020, Cam’ron said he was in talks about the sequel, but it’s unclear if he’s involved. "These are conversations that we talked about in the last few months,” Cam said at the time. “Actually, a couple hours ago, something we talked about [was] pertaining [to]Paid in Full 2. I don’t wanna say 100 percent ‘yes,’ but we’re definitely in the talks about doing something similar to Paid in Full 1. … It’s definitely a conversation going on right now about that, 100 percent.”
