ASAP Ant has returned with the third installment of his Lil Black Jean Jacket series, and he’s brought some friends along for the album, including ASAP Rocky, Larry June, Currensy, Lil B, and ASAP Twelvyy. The threequel arrives via Ant’s Marino Infantry brand as well as Create Music Group.

“Putting in the groundwork & building the foundation for myself and my brand is the most important thing to me,” Ant said in a press release.

The 15-track album arrives after the ASAP Mob member premiered “The God Hour” with ASAP Rocky on Complex back in March. The psychedelic, Geerten Harmens-directed visual took Rocky to Ant’s stomping grounds of Baltimore, where the duo meandered through the streets with a mob wearing all white. The Baltimore rhymer had previously linked up with Rocky in 2018 for his song “Mario Cart,” which emerged after Ant released his original Lil Black Jean Jacket album.

During an interview with Kids Take Over back in January, Ant addressed rumors that he almost left the ASAP Mob, and said he was just feeling at the time that he wasn’t being noticed for his hard work.

“I wasn’t gonna leave the gang, it was just frustration,” ASAP Ant said. “When you grinding so hard and nobody hitting you up and saying, ‘Yo bro keep doing your thing,’ you feel like...you know what I mean? But I am ASAP Mob n***a, I’m carrying ASAP Mob title. I feel like I’m the best.”

He continued, “I feel like I’m Lil Wayne back in the day when he was carrying that motherfucking, that Cash Money. I’m carrying that ASAP Mob thing. I’m still dropping music. I can be with Rocky making songs right now. I can call Rocky right now...like I am ASAP Mob.”
