To celebrate the release of his new albumcompilation projectSlime Language, Young Thug generously rented out the Dave & Buster's at Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles Thursday night. The project's release date, Aug. 16, also coincided with Thugger's 27th birthday.
Allegedly, at some point during the festivities, police showed up and—as shown in social media reports from those on the scene—arrested the "Family Don't Matter" crafter. Complex has reached out to reps for Young Thug for additional comment.
Any potential charges were not immediately disclosed, per KABC-TV, who noted in their report Friday morning that "several other people" were also detained around midnight at Dave & Buster's. However, in a statement to Complex, LAPD confirmed that Thug had been arrested and booked for possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle with a bail of $35,000.
Early Friday, Thugger announced his release:
Slime Language follows the three-track Hear No Evil EP, which dropped back in April and features Lil Uzi Vert, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage. Uzi also appears on Slime Language cut "It's a Slime."
