Monday morning, Pusha-T fans were given a 29-second clip of a new video which includes the artist formerly known as Kanye West.

A clip, as seen below, was shared by Victor Victor Worldwide founder/CEO (and Pusha’s manager) Steven Victor and gives listeners a truly titillating look at what King Push and company have in store for 2022. As has been well-documented, the anticipation surrounding the follow-up to 2018’s widely acclaimed Daytona has reached even greater heights in recent weeks.

Not only did Ye’s production provide the sonic foundation for that Grammy-nominated seven-track album, but the Donda (and Donda 2) artist also contributed a verse to “What Would Meek Do,” which expertly samples Yes’ 1971 track “Heart of the Sunrise.”

As Victor confirmed to Complex last month, Pusha-T is still with Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music, although his upcoming album will mark the fulfillment of his Def Jam contract. “I mean, we might re-sign with Def Jam, I’m just saying he fulfilled his contract obligation,” Victor said at the time. “He might re-sign with Def Jam, it’s just the whole point of it is that he’s still with Kanye regardless to wherever he ends up with his next projects. It will be with Kanye.”

The newly released video excerpt boasts some instantly memorable lines (“You order Diet Coke/That’s a joke, right?”), as well as a shout-out to Missy Elliott. The track itself, meanwhile, was previously teased by Pusha himself alongside an obscured-by-powder image of Lana Del Rey.

The beat for the new track, meanwhile, has been linked to producer 88-Keys. “I made that beat 18 years ago,” Keys said during a recent IG Live session, stating that the beat has its origins in an interlude he made for a beat tape titled The Makings of Crack Cocaine.

“I don’t even think I sold any beats off of it until now 18 years later,” Keys added, as seen below.

“The album of the motherfucking year is coming,” Pusha, who’s among those featured on the new NIGO album due next month, told Complex in January. As he noted, a Pusha album may take “a long time” to come together, but “ain’t nothing fucking with it” when it does.

Shortly after the preview started making the rounds on Monday, Pusha-T announced the impending debut of his new song “Diet Coke.” Tagged in the announcement post on IG, notably, is artist Sterling Ruby. A rep for Sterling Ruby Studio later confirmed to Complex that the “Diet Coke” cover was done by the artist.
