The latest from Tyga follows last month’s release of the video for his then-new track “Lifetime,” which itself was preceded by his collaboration with Doja Cat, “Freaky Deaky.”

As speculation continues surrounding an impending new full-length from Tyga, headlines as of late have focused on his collaboration with the art collective MSCHF. As previously reported, Vans sued MSCHF over its Wavy Baby collab sneaker. In a complaint cited in this report, Vans referred to the shoe as, in the brand’s words, an “effort to confuse consumers, unlawfully siphon sales from Vans, and intentionally damage Vans’ valuable intellectual property rights.”

In a statement given to Complex in April, a Vans rep mentioned its Old Skool silhouette, stating the company remains “committed to safeguarding our heritage and intellectual property.” A subsequent MSCHF statement, meanwhile, argued the company had previously been “willing to meet” on the topic of potential collaborations in the future, a claim delivered alongside an “LMAO.”

The aforementioned “Freaky Deaky,” which originally rolled out back in February, isn’t the only Tyga and Doja collab in their respective catalogs. At last month’s Coachella festival, Doja brought out Tyga for a performance of their Hot Pink-featured pairing “Juicy,” originally released in 2019.

Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 earlier this year about his latest track with Doja, Tyga noted he was currently “about 80 percent done” with a new album. A release date has not been publicly announced.
