Ahead of the impending arrival of the new Red & White EP, Lil Uzi Vert’s official Instagram page now lists they/them pronouns.

Fans noticed the change in recent days, with many pointing to multiple instances of Uzi having shown public support for the LGBTQIA+ community in the past.

But aside from the social media bio change itself, Uzi hasn’t spoken further about the Instagram pronouns update.

A rep for Lil Uzi Vert declined Complex’s request for comment. A subsequent Pitchfork post said “a spokesperson for the rapper confirmed” the news.

On Thursday, Uzi took to Instagram to share a picture that features the artist rocking a shirt with the words “they/them.”

Over the weekend, Uzi shared the new track “Space Cadet” to SoundCloud. Notably, the song carries the same artwork previously teased by Uzi when announcing the impending arrival of the aforementioned Red & White project.

“Red & White Ep …. Before The P!NK,” Uzi said when unveiling the art, suggesting fans can indeed expect the long-teased P!NK tape to be released following the EP’s rollout.

Uzi’s most recent solo studio album is the 2020-released Eternal Atake, which opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chat and was widely acclaimed.

As announced in June, Uzi—a reliably energy-driven performer whose stage presence is well-documented—is among the artists being assembled for the 2022 edition of the Made in America festival in Philadelphia this September. Others confirmed for the lineup are Bad Bunny, Tyler, the Creator, Jazmine Sullivan, Pusha-T, Victoria Monét, and more. See here for full lineup and ticket info.
