Though current country music star Darius Ruckerreportedly refuses to write a tell-all book detailing his Hootie & the Blowfish years until his son turns 18, that self-enacted rule didn't stop him from telling the story behind the Hootie reference delivered by Ma$e in the Notorious B.I.G.'s posthumous instaclassic "Mo Money Mo Problems."
During a recent interview on The Dan Patrick Show, Rucker finally removed the mystery surrounding the seemingly random reference. According to Rucker, the line is quite far from fiction indeed:
