Cardi B, a vocal supporter of Bernie Sanders, joined the former presidential candidate for an Instagram Live chat on Tuesday night that's much-needed as we all continue doing our part in the COVID-19 era by practicing social distancing at home.
The two chopped it up about a number of issues in need of remaining in the public discourse, including Trump:
"Honey, you don't need the Democrats to make you look bad," Cardi said while speaking on the oft-repeated conspiracy theory among Trump supporters that the novel coronavirus is part of a larger Democrats-backed effort to hurt the former Apprentice host's chances of re-election. "You make your own self look bad. There were so many chances that he had when interviewers asked him questions that he could have answered with the right answer that would make people be like, 'OK, he actually cares.' And instead of him giving a right answer, he just shushed them off or just degrades them. It's like, you don't need no Democrat to make you look bad, sir. You make your own self look bad."
The situation we're currently in, Cardi added, could have been avoided as far back as January.
Later, Cardi asked Sanders about his recent endorsement of Joe Biden, noting that young voters "don't rock" with him due to his antiquated centrist ideas. Sanders explained that defeating Trump was the ultimate motivation and also promised to work with Biden in an effort to push more progressive ideas onto the platform.

Earlier this month, Cardi expressed that she was "really upset at everybody" after Sanders announced he was suspending his campaign.
"Y'all wasn't voting," she said. "What the fuck was up with that?"
