Doja Cat is no longer verified on Twitter.

The 27-year-old artist took to the social media platform on Tuesday, writing, “only fans have blue ticks,” in response to a fan who wrote, “no blue tick? it’s over.”

Another fan responded, tweeting, “You have to pay for twitter blue now ? What has elon done to you doja ?” to which she responded, “Having a blue tick now means theres a higher chance that you’re a complete loser and that you’re desperate for validation from famous people.”

In order to maintain a blue check, users have to pay for Twitter Blue, a subscription service that costs $8 per month or $84 per year. Doja’s unverified status comes a few months after she went on a rant on Twitter about the verified program. The subscription was initially priced at $20 per month until Elon Musk suggested a lower fee due to backlash.

“You guys are paying $8 a month to come on here and go to war with people who are not in agreement with who your favorite pop star is,” she tweeted back in November. “You’re paying $8 a month to come on here and say shit like, ‘Bye!’ You’re coming on here for $8 a month to post porn and then get into an argument. I think I can stop there. Okay cool, bye.”

LeBron James also revealed he won’t pay the fee to remain verified on Twitter. “Welp guess my blue [check] will be gone soon cause if you know me I ain’t paying the 5,” he tweeted in late March.

In other Doja Cat-related news, she revealed that she will strictly be making rap music moving forward. “No more pop,” she tweeted recently. “I also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny. I know they are. I wasnt trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing yall say that i can’t so I will.”
